On the Prairie

In the summer of 2015, we led a diverse group of Denver’s makers and influencers to the beautiful Pawnee National Grasslands. There, they spent two days and a night exploring the prairie, drinking Prisoner Wine, fletching arrows, feasting, hot tubbing, discovering new friends and celebrating the bond between makers and the places they live.

Western Daughters Butcher Shoppe

Kate Kavanaugh and Josh Curtiss got their start in butcher shops on the East Coast, then brought their craft to Colorado and infused it with some literal local flavor to create Western Daughters Butcher Shoppe. With two locations and the belief that the way meat tastes and how it’s raised are equally important, Western Daughters offers custom cuts of pasture-raised and grass-fed meats from within 150 miles of Denver.
